    Too often, training focuses on "handy" tricks: a "convincing posture," a "powerful intonation," or a "strategic pause." These quick fixes seem appealing but have limited practical impact.


    Persuasiveness and influencing skills begin with the content. They begin with sharpening your ideas, strategically choosing arguments, and accurately reading your conversation partner/audience. Only when this is right is there room to explore techniques that further strengthen your message.
